Admissions criteria

  • 30 specialist art & design aptitude places and 30 specialist modern foreign language (MFL) aptitude places, assessed by separate specialist tests.
  • The remaining 180 places are allocated across five ability bands (A–E) based on the average of verbal reasoning (VR) and non-verbal reasoning (NVR) test scores. Each band receives an equal share of the banded places.
  • Within each band, places go by straight-line distance after higher-priority criteria (EHCP, looked-after children, siblings, staff).
